Senior Web Engineer – SDK

IMG.LY is building the creative engine that brings beautiful video and photo editing to your applications. From Fortune 100 businesses to new startups, our SDKs power hundreds of applications.

As a Software Engineer in our Creative Editor team at IMG.LY, you’ll help shape the next generation of creative technology used by global brands like Amazon and Hootsuite. Working on our React-based SDK powered by a high-performance WebAssembly engine, you’ll contribute to making key architectural decisions to ensure scalability, maintainability, and seamless integration across platforms, delivering an exceptional developer experience.

Responsibilities –

• driving forward the future development of our CreativeEditor SDK, building and refining seamless developer experiences across platforms
• Make informed architectural decisions to ensure high standards of code structure, quality, and long-term codebase health.
• Working collaboratively with cross-team to propose and evaluate new features and improvements, participating in strategic planning and team collaboration.
• Design and evolve intuitive, robust APIs that enable developers to integrate our creative editing features seamlessly into diverse applications.
• Develop and maintain composable and scalable components using React and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with designers to enhance UI interactions and ensure a high-quality user experience.
• Optimize the performance and scalability of the CreativeEditor SDK.

Required Skills –

• You are able to explain technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical team members.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript frameworks, preferably React, and a good understanding of TypeScript.
• Experienced in code architecture and building modular and reusable software components.
• Comfortable managing your own time and tasks with minimal supervision.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and methodologies. Passion for technology and development, staying up-to-date with industry trends.
• Good command of English to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
• Excellent Communication, both verbal and written, for clear and effective interactions.
• Strong team spirit, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
• You are a resident of the EU and/or you are authorized to travel and work throughout the entire EU.
• Must be within +/- 2 hours of CET.
